It is an initiative promoted by Punti Impresa Digitale implemented by the Chambers of Commerce that rewards companies, or groups of Italian companies, that thanks to the services provided by Punti Impresa Digitale have carried out, or are carrying out, an innovation project in an Impresa 4.0 key aimed at improving their performance in one of the following areas: Circular economy (sustainability, sustainable energy, circular economy, etc.); Intelligent and Advanced Manufacturing (interconnected machinery, 3D printing, digital fabrication, etc.); Social (health, biotechnology, culture, services and products supporting the development of smart cities, etc.); Services, Commerce, Distribution and Tourism (advanced digital solutions for marketing and/or customer care, logistics, etc.); New Business 4.0 models (re-engineering of enterprise organizational processes).
The award was presented by Unioncamere during the “Impresa 4.0: Between Innovation and Sustainability” conference held Oct. 18, 2019 in Rome as part of Maker Faire, Europe’s largest innovation event.
Brustia Alfameccanica Srl received a special mention for additive manufactoring in Made in Italy supply chains. The company has introduced digital filing procedures through the use of 3D printers that enable better work, reduce errors, improve the production model, and digitize manual processes to cut down time to market. The intention is to hire in place of those retiring young staff with a mind more oriented toward using technologically advanced tools. This project aims to ensure the innovation of craftsmanship in the mechano-footwear industry.
In the enterprise, this was made possible by in-house research and development resources.
